On February 12, 2020, Håkan Buskhe will take over as the new CEO of FAM AB and succeed Lars Wedenborn, who will assume a role as Senior Advisor and remain active on the boards of holdings within the Wallenberg sphere.

"FAM's board of directors and I are grateful for the important job that Lars Wedenborn has done over the past 12 years to establish and develop FAM into a central holding company for the Wallenberg Foundations. Lars has made great contributions to FAM which have also strengthened our ability to support basic research and education in Sweden through increased grants. At the same time, I am pleased that Håkan Buskhe will become CEO of FAM and I am convinced that Håkan's industrial experience, leadership and technical know-how will make FAM even stronger in the future", says FAM Chair Marcus Wallenberg.

"My new mission will be extremely exciting. FAM plays an important role in the work of the Wallenberg Foundations by funding basic research and education at Swedish universities. I take on this assignment with humility but also with great curiosity and hope that my industrial background, combined with my interest in technology, will contribute to FAM's continued development", comments incoming CEO Håkan Buskhe.

"I am incredibly proud of what my team and I have achieved over the past 12 years in building FAM into a company with long-term and attractive holdings. I am also pleased to have the opportunity, after 20 years in operational positions as CFO at Investor AB and CEO of FAM, to continue to support the further development of Wallenberg sphere", says Lars Wedenborn.

Håkan Buskhe holds an M.S. Degree in Science and Engineering and a licentiate degree in engineering from the Chalmers University of Technology. He has previously held a number of senior executive positions in Swedish industry, including CEO of E.ON Nordic AB and most recently of Saab AB.
