WIAB’s primary activities are to provide administrative, legal, accounting, networking and asset management services to the Foundations.

About this Privacy Policy
The Wallenberg Foundations and WIAB protect your personal privacy. This Privacy Policy describes certain personal data processing where WIAB processes personal data for its own account, including purposes for which personal data are processed, what personal data are collected and the measures that WIAB takes to protect personal data. This is a general Privacy Policy. For specific activities and processing of personal data, this Privacy Policy may be supplemented by additional policies or privacy notices. In such cases, this general Privacy Policy shall be read together with the specific policy provided for the specific activity.
Information about WIAB’s processing of personal data
WIAB collects and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and other applicable privacy laws and regulations. “Personal data” means data that can be used to identify a natural person who is alive.
In contacts with WIAB, you may provide WIAB with information about yourself or personal information that WIAB asks you to provide. This applies, for example, when WIAB should inform you and answer questions about its activities. The information that is provided or collected may refer to your name, title, postal address, email address, telephone number, and other information that you choose to provide. Please only provide information to the extent that it is necessary for your contacts with WIAB.
WIAB only keeps your personal data for as long as necessary for the purpose of the processing. The personal data will be weeded out or anonymized when no longer relevant for the original purpose of processing.

2 The Foundation for Economic History Research within Banking and Enterprise – in accordance with its statutes to promote scientific research – archives certain documents from WIAB’s activities for archiving and research purposes. Documents transferred by WIAB to The Foundation for Economic History Research within Banking and Enterprise for archival and research purposes are only transferred for this purpose and that purpose is consistent with the original personal data processing purpose. The Foundation for Economic History Research within Banking and Enterprise takes appropriate protective measures to ensure that the principle of data minimization is especially respected.
Disclosure of personal data
Within the framework of WIAB’s activities, and in order to achieve the above-mentioned purposes of data processing, WIAB may, in accordance with applicable legislation, share personal data with others with whom WIAB cooperates, such as the Wallenberg Foundations and WIAB’s service providers (for example, IT service providers).
In some cases, personal data collected by WIAB may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). In this case, such transfer shall be carried out in accordance with the legislation in force and require that the country concerned has an adequate level of data protection, or that there are other sufficient safeguard measures to ensure that the transfer is lawful. If you want further information about such transfers or copies of agreements or similar safeguard measures, feel free to contact WIAB.
Personal data may also be disclosed to authorities in accordance with applicable legislation.
Security
WIAB takes the necessary and reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. This means that WIAB, in its personal data processing activities, applies various physical and technical limitations and restrictions on access to personal data, including through technical authorization and access control systems, the use of firewalls, virus protection, backup systems and other network security, and the possibility of security measures such as encryption and de-identification of personal data where appropriate. If WIAB hires a third-party partner to support WIAB’s operations, WIAB ensures that the party applies the corresponding technical and organizational security measures and only processes personal data in the manner approved by WIAB.
Your rights
You have the right to receive confirmation free of charge of whether personal data about you are being processed by WIAB and, if such case, to request information about which personal data WIAB processes, from where this personal data have been obtained, the purposes for which the data have been processed, the recipients or categories of recipients the personal data have or may be disclosed to and, if possible, the anticipated period during which the personal data will be stored (the “Register Extract”). For such requests, WIAB will also provide the information that WIAB is obliged to disclose in accordance with applicable law.
Anyone who discovers that registered personal data are not up to date, inaccurate, incomplete or have been processed in violation of the above-mentioned purposes or relevant legislation may request WIAB to correct, block or delete such registered personal data.
You also have the right, under certain conditions, to request limitation of your data processing or request a copy of the personal data relating to you in a structured format (data portability).
Anyone who has given consent to a certain processing of personal data may at any time withdraw such consent by contacting WIAB. Upon withdrawal of consent, WIAB will cease any processing covered by such consent.

WIAB makes use of cookies for the information WIAB provides through its websites (https://www.wallenberginvestments.com/) for statistical evaluation and analysis, among other purposes.
