Wallenberg Investments is owned by the three largest Wallenberg Foundations: the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, the Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation, and the Marcus and Amalia Wallenberg Foundation. The Foundations support outstanding basic research and education for the benefit of Sweden. Through Wallenberg Investments, the Foundations manage and develop their assets with a long-term perspective.

Ownership with a greater purpose since 1917

The capital of the Wallenberg Foundations has been built up and managed over generations. Through long-term and engaged ownership in Swedish and international companies, the Foundations generate returns that enable them to carry out their activities. Since 1917, more than SEK 50 billion has been awarded in individual grants, project grants, and strategic programs.

The primary focus is on basic research in medicine, technology, and the natural sciences, as well as in the social sciences and humanities. Through long-term grants to leading researchers, research projects, and strategic initiatives, the Foundations contribute to the development of Swedish research, education, and innovation.
